  4. NEW Dyson Jones website LIVE

    05/02/12
Yes, it has taken us a while to get onto this project but finally the new look Dyson Jones website is now up and running. And of course now that we are on a roll in the coming months you can expect to see even more features, news and information from Dyson Jones about the work we are doing to bring wool growers and wool processors closer together through our wool network.

In time we will feature a Client Login area that will enable Dyson Jones clients to review their wool receivals, pre and post sale results as well as a number of other reporting features.

One feature that you can see on our website right now is a weather station - simply set the weather to your local region and each and every time you come back to the Dyson Jones website you'll have the high and low tempreture for your region and with one click you'll be directed to a full comprehensive weather report for your region, supplied by Weatherzone.

As they say all good things come to those who wait, and wait you have...patiently!  We hope you enjoy our new look website.

  5. Inaugural Ram SaleTops

    01/01/12
Dyson Jones held their first on-property ram sale on behalf of High Valley Stud, Tarin Rock in WA in September this year.  Since it was first established in 1979 Dyson Jones has remained focused on wool marketing services however after mounting pressure from clients we ultimately agreed that yes we were able to extend our wool and sheep expertise across to stud livestock sales.

So on the 27th of September 2011 Dyson Jones, ably supported by 85 impeccably presented High Valley stud rams, embarked on our first principal agent sale.  85 of the 2010 drop Merino rams with four months wool and averaging 20.4micron rams were offered and achieved a top price of $2,000 and average price of $1,068.  The sale achieved a 93% clearance rate with energetic bidding from buyers from WA’s Eastern Wheat belt.  The majority of buyers will use the rams for commercial use across mainly Merino ewes.

We would like to thank the principals of High Valley Stud for entrusting Dyson Jones with the sale and look forward to offering livestock stud stock and commercial sales to our other clients.
